Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1)Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
Trish's rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Wallbanging Stars

This was one of the most lighthearted, funniest reads I have read to date.
Absolutely loved it.

Caroline is feisty, sweet and tells it like it is and extremely sexually frustrated – until she meets Simon Parker – and OMG Simon Parker is one of a kind. He is cocky, confident, charming and sexy as hell.

This story is so well written and has a completely flawless blend of everything from romance, sweetness, comical humor, happiness, steamy hot sex, and witty dialogue. And their text messages were unreal – so, so good.

The banter between these characters was fabulous. The chemistry and sexual tension is even hotter.

“Now, you listen, mister.” I said, trying for a more adult tone. “I’m not going to spend every night listening to you try to crash your girl’s head through my wall with the force of your dick alone! No way, buddy.”

I loved watching Caroline and Simon’s relationship develop from neighbors who begin as enemies, to friends and then lovers.

It really is a must read if you are looking for a story that has a bit of everything.

“You really have no idea, do you?” …
“No idea about what?” …
“How thoroughly you own me, Nightie Girl,” he said, leaning in to whisper this part in my ear. “And I know I love you enough to want you to have your happy ending.”

It really is a sexy, fun read

5 Hilarious Stars

Absolutely loved this book, I thought it was funny, sexy and steamy all rolled into one. Their witty conversations and the way the story was written was done perfectly.

Especially their text conversations that they had and the baking done in Caroline's apartment....

The sexual tension between Simon & Caroline is amazing and was overall a joy to read. If you don't know what to read next then Alice Clayton's Wallbanger is the one to read!
Will Not Disappoint!

Rusty Nailed (Cocktail, #2)Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton
Trish's rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Nailed Stars

Wallbanger was hard to top but this was definitely a fabulous follow up to Wallbanger. Alice Clayton gives the reader another appetizing story that will leave you laughing out loud and wishing for more.

She never fails to blend everything together. From romance, sweetness, laughter to sizzling sex and a storyline with characters that you will love forever.

Simon and Caroline work well together – albeit a little unconventional, but it works for them. Their chemistry is amazing. They really are made for each other. Sexy, hot and funny.

I’m Simon’s girlfriend. He was once the Harem Master, and now I’m his girlfriend.

The laugh out loud moments were just hilarious… I loved every minute of it.

“Well, good goddamn, Dr. Phil, color me impressed,” I said, clinking my coffee cup next to his. “So what do we do next? Y’know, as people in a relationship after they’ve resolved a conflict?”

“Pretty sure a blow job should follow this,” he said seriously.

I loved being introduced to Neil and Sophia, Ryan and Mimi as well as a little of Jillian and Benjamin. Looking forward to getting more of their stories later.

Alice Clayton’s writing style really is fabulous. If you are looking for a fun, sexy read, then get yourself a copy of this series.

Screwdrivered (Cocktail, #3)Screwdrivered by Alice Clayton
Trish's rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Screwdrivered stars

Wallbanger is by far my favorite in this series to date. But Screwdrivered come pretty close to that. It is the third book in Alice Clayton’s Cocktail series.

Again, Alice Clayton delivers a fresh, feisty and humorous story. She really has a way with words and making the reader feel like they are in the moment.

There are so many more laugh out loud moments, that I really couldn’t contain myself. Just brilliant.
Viv, Hank and Clark – OMG – what do you think may happen between these three?

Viv needs a new adventure, a new beginning, a journey across the land where a new life awaits…..
And does she find it.

The first guy she meets is Hank – gorgeous, sexy cowboy… need I say anymore? But he is not really doing it for her intellectually…. But her body wants him.

Then Clark is the nerdy librarian/historian who runs the historical society. He’s smart, funny and intellectually inviting. Their banter had me laughing many times.

Her head tells her one thing, but her body tells her another….

You really have to read this for yourself. You will love it.

“Never would have pegged you for a spitter, Vivian.”
Eyes suddenly wide, I sat straight up, almost levitations from the bed, then rallied.
“Only when it’s something not worth swallowing.”

What does Viv decide to do? Will it be Hank or Clark.

Highly recommend you get yourself a copy of this series.

Screwdrivered (Cocktail, #3)Screwdrivered by Alice Clayton
Angela's rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book 3 in the Cocktail Series dose not disappoint.
It's got that witty humor that is Alice Clayton, how you do it and come up some of the phrases and conversations I'll never know. BUT I don't care so long as you never stop, lol.

While I LOVE Simon & Caroline in Wallbanger & Rusty Nailed & is by far still my favorite read, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Vivian's story.

It's all there, the OMG moments, the LOL I can't believe I just actually that & more. You just have to read it to understand just how good this series is and just how good Alice is....

Mai Tai'd Up (Cocktail, #4)Mai Tai'd Up by Alice Clayton
Trish's rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Mai Tai'd Stars

Alice Clayton never disappoints. Loved this humorous, sexy read. She has a way of captivating you with her stories and gripping you from beginning to end.

This story was one we all know too well…. Reality is, that we are always expected to be a certain way, eat certain foods, watch the way we speak etc, etc.

Chloe was feeling all of these things…. The stresses of her life – the one that was laid out for her by her mother…. But once she finally saw the light… it was gorgeous.

I loved watching her transformation and I loved watching her getting to know our hero Lucas. He is charming, sexy and smart.

Their first encounter (where they don’t actually meet) and only where they lock eyes was hot. The chemistry is there and you feel it.

Enter FATE and boom…. Things happen. Lucas happens. What a gorgeous soul he is.

“I want it all. I want all encompassing, knock your socks off, can’t live without you, can’t be in a room without wanting you naked, love.”

The chemistry and banter between these two is nothing short of Alice Clayton’s best dialogue.

“Holy sweet fuck, are you kidding me?”

Here’s the thing about an enormous penis. They don’t just live in romance novels …

“Pardon me?” he finally said, his hands frozen on my hips, his lips halfway down my neck.

“Sorry. Actually, not sorry. Actually, congratulations.” I pointed down. “This is kind of amazing.”

He threw his head back and laughed out loud.

Yes, Alice Clayton delivers again and again.

Another highly entertaining, fast, fun, sexy read. I would have loved a little more of Chloe and Lucas.

Highly recommended read - get yourself a copy of this series, you will truly love it.

Mai Tai'd Up (Cocktail, #4)Mai Tai'd Up by Alice Clayton
Angela's rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars

For me this one took me a while to get into story. But you learn about Chloe & what caused her to break her engagement to her fiancé and move away. You just can't help but like Chloe Patterson.

Overall I enjoyed this story. I found the storyline completely intriguing and undoubtedly funny, as expected!

Last Call (Cocktail, #4.5)Last Call by Alice Clayton
Trish's rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Last Call stars

Loved this last book in the series. It really wrapped up everything so beautifully for Simon, Caroline and all their friends.

It’s actually sad to say goodbye to these fabulous characters that took up a little space in my life.

Alice Clayton is a true story teller. One where her writing is brilliant, and her character build up and story lines are fabulous. They had me laughing out loud so many times, that I was re-reading lines over and over. That’s how good they are.

As the final closing to this series, we see that these friends are all beginning to settle down one way or another. What is the next adventure for Caroline and Simon?

“I want you … I want it all, and I want it with you.”

I really loved how Alice Clayton can take everyday life and spice it up with all her wonderful antics and make it so incredibly real and funny.

It was a beautiful way to finish off this series with Simon and Caroline and their “epilogue” so to speak.

I’ve said it before, you really need to read this series. It is one fun, sexy read.
