BOOK PROMO & REVIEW - Chasing River by KA Tucker

Title:  Chasing River (Burying Water #3)

Author:  KA Tucker

Genre: New Adult Romance

Publication date: 7 July 2015

Synopsis

Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude.

Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations.

When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move.
Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.

And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

4 Love Me An Irishman Stars

This is the first KA Tucker book I’ve read and I must say I was impressed.

It was so much more than your average romance. I was completely taken in by these characters and their story. The beautiful Irish landscapes and traditions. I loved learning so much while reading Amber and River’s story.

KA Tucker weaves this story of finding oneself, friendship, romance, drama, Irish history and so much more so beautifully as well as giving the reader an insight into Irish nationalism.

It was easy to read as KA Tucker creates characters and a plot that keep you entertained and interested the whole way through this story - constantly wanting more from each of them. I felt that KA gave me more than just a love story of boy meets girl.

Angst, suspense and drama - I love a story that is full of it. This is certainly one of those.
River and Amber are surprisingly perfect for each other. But will their circumstances and miles keep them apart?

Their first encounter is not your average one and leads to a fearful situation. This story has a realm of suspense, action and romance which in turn leads to Amber and River discovering each other.

I really adored the way this story was written. River is definitely Amber’s knight in shining armour. Amber is your good girl next door, falling in love with a guy who takes her heart by surprise.

A really remarkable story.

Highly recommended.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster Australia for supplying an advanced reading copy for this review.
